The radio officially closed this morning and I have done my last few shows and overnight streams.
It really was fun and I gained some valuable skills from the experience.
(ps i may use the stream quietly 2 secretly test out flatcast skins)

Thankyou all and sorri if i dun mention all ur names, I still want 2 remain a mystry.

ASF Radio is closing down - a mysterious problem now

Sorry to everyone that I did not post any updates on this blog. My personal life demanded more attention than I could spare for the radio.
To get to the point, I am just not cut out to put up blog posts and sometimes I need to ask my sister to help me with it a lot.

The End
Down, the owner of ASF-Radio brought us all some bad news a few days ago. Due to various reasons, this radio will need to die off and stop its operations like other products as the life cycle ends.
ASF Radio will cease operations on 18 January 2011

Before that date, I will be hosting several shows in the final two weekend nights. If I am lucky and do not have too much work, I may host the final broadcast.
Tomorrow night as normally scheduled will be my regular show. I am aiming to host much earlier (from around 9pm) if I am able to.
So tune in on the 7th, 8th, 9th, 14th, 15th, 16th (and maybe 17th) nights. I will be playing mostly requests and dedications for all. Please check the forums for other dates & times by other DJs at http://forums.asiasoftsea.net/showthread.php?t=726725&page=214
Also if my soundcard problem is fixed, I hope to have guests to interview via skype, but no promises yet. I do promise you will hear me verbally before the end of the channel.

The big question now is, what will happen to the Mystery DJ?
After ASF Radio closes, I may no longer be a DJ on any radio until I settle down.
Additionally being a mystery is fun and exciting because for the first time almost no one knew who I really am, which gave me a chance to not be judged by my background or history.
ASF Radio was not the first radio I worked with, but is the first that I have spoken on air as a host. I may forget the fun times and technical difficulties when I had lots of listeners, but I will try not to forget that this was well worth my time.
It has been the a joy to entertain the handful of people, and I thank you for listening to me and ASF Radio.

Maybe I will return someday as the Mystery DJ, maybe I will not return.

New Show, still no show for old show

Raycity CBT comes out 2morro, an i am not missing it. I will use my free time to play when I can.
But i not giving up on being a DJ. tat is why i plan to have a new show.

I call it RAYCITY LIVE b'cas i cannot think of any cooler name
whenever i play raycity and no DJ is hosting or if any DJ allow takeover, i will do live show while I play RC.

Thats rite, I will report live from the streets in RC and do a show.
So listen in for me, i dun kno when I will be on air for these.

Abut The Random Radio Show.
After my promotion i have had a hard time to prepare for a show. With my 1 day off there is not much time to prepare for it
for now i will not host TRRS until I find a gud stable time to prepare for it and have a show.
Maybe I will have it once a month.

I will still do verbal shows when it is my sceduled slot so dun worry if u miss moi voice.

CNY Celebration & Change of TRRS Times

Happy Chinese New Year every1.

Today i got good news, i got lucky at work and now got promotion for CNY.
But where there is luck then somewhere else must exist bad luck.
Now I must work sunday also and cannot have a show at tat time.

but this is not the end of TRRS, i will try to host show at different time.
I look into hosting on night slot, and i think every1 will find it easy to listen at.
As soon as I settle on time, I will post here and in cbox.

This sunday is Chinese new year, an aso valentines day.
Dun worri, I dun hav any plans to go out. I will try to host very special show for every1 who listens in.
If u want to, bring ur special someone also to listen in. Maybe I can help with some music.

Week 3, 4 & 5. Today is week 5: Where have Mystery Been?

I missed out on posting Week 3 & 4. So this week Im posting what I remember.
The Xmas and New Year weeks have been very busy for me especially at work.
In last few weeks I did not stream at nights, sorry everyone. Coming home after midnight makes it difficult to start streaming.

Back2 Week 2's Random Radio show. I had a great time. I had lots of mic issues again but managed to do a verbal show. I am eager to do verbal shows every week.
Week 3 again I had mic problems so show did not happen but I played the songs I was planning to.
Sadly week 4 there was almost no one. I didn't do verbal show but focused on other fixes. But I also had 2 start late, maybe thats why less turn up.
Tomorrow is my 5th Sunday, I hope everyone is free at least.
I will also change time of my show a bit. I will start at 3pm. It means more time for me to get ready.

Nothing reali happens on Sleeper's Run, it is meant for anyone who stays awake to play games.
But I am thankful for those tat are awake on sleeper's run. Last nite someone helped me discover serious errors in my preset layouts. This has been reason why my mic suddenly stops working. When I load my bg layout, mic would stop, because of settings on that preset.
Thankfully it is onli on my presets because I set it to computer I'm using. Any Bg layouts I gave everyone will not have this error.

Good news, Bad news time.
I taken decision to remain as Mystery with no date set to when I will reveal.
I will still give clues an let you all guess. When someone guess who I am with proper evidence to prove I am tat person, that person will win event and I maybe will DJ as myself. But I warn you now, you will be disappointed when you find out who I am. So maybe it's best not to guess.
I also have very little time because work is a lot for me, so blog updates maybe very short. I also hope to get evening slot for TRRS, but have to wait and see.
For DJs and Listeners, I will have little time to fix an make BG layouts. Good news is I planning to start new updates to neon bg which include display pic for DJs, and nice fixes. Also planning to make games for radio, which teams can play. But lot of work and will take long time.
I also make new skype, youtube, photobucket and hotmail accounts. If I going 2Be Mystery for long time then must be able to work properly. Thanks2 Photobucket, bg and images will load faster, no more blank screen till bg load. Hotmail is for now so u can email me to do pre-requests and dedications. Skype is onli for DJs to contact me when online. Youtube is for new DJs where i will upload video guides to tell u how to use Flatcast and for all DJs for how to use my BG layouts. Current problem DJs hav to manually update links, which very hard to explain in chat.

Week 2: Show will go on!

Last week seem like disaster week. First technical problems on Sleeper's Run, then mic stops working just befor the Random Radio show. And updating blot is not easy. I was a bit disappointed at not doing verbal but now I know how to solve some of the technical problems.

To update everyone, first I will be changing colors on blog, because majority voted to maybe change a bit. I also admit i threw in lots of random colors to try something new.
On last night's Sleeper's Run, I had a blast. I downloaded lots of old and new songs, and had enough to make the first active hour of Sleeper's Run feel like long ago.
The building also had some fuses blown in the morning, so the last scheduled hour of Sleeper's run was not on because of tat.

Tomorros show will go on, and even with mic problems I will somehow do a verbal show.
I have decided that every week I will have set number of clues which I will reveal on my shows. Rite now set number is I give 5 clues on the Random Radio show, and 1 clue on Sleeper's Run.
I will keep track of what my maximum listeners are on the Random Radio show. That number will be bonus clues for following week.
Example, if I have 5 listeners, during week I will reveal 5 more clues, so total for that new week is 11 clues revealed.

After mic test last nite, lot of listeners say they got biggest clue, I not sure what that is. >.<
I so excited to do verbal show on Sunday So do not miss it.

After a Long Absance, the First Sleeper's Run

It's been a very long time since I had a chance to stream music to an audience. My first radio stream was 3 years ago in December, so tonight's Sleeper's Run was like an anniversary of my first stream on the radio I worked on.
And what a Disaster tonight was.
Not only was I nearly late to start, but I could not take over from the other DJ. Plus I have to use my office laptop instead of my PC.
With the help of some of the DJs, we in the end managed to get me on air, but 1 hour late.
It's a good thing tonight that I experienced these problems, I now know that I will be a bit more ready for Sunday's show.
It is nervous for me to be a DJ again but I am more than ready to handle it just as I did years back.

I want to say a BIG THANK YOU to those who were patient enough to help me log in, and also to those who enjoyed their first shot at some clues. I really appreciate it because if everyone in the chat were not there to help, I would not have been able to play music on tonight's Sleeper's Run.

Get Ready for the Mystery DJ

Hey there everyone, I'm the Mystery DJ and I'll be spinning off on ASFR soon.
As a warm up to the first show, we have a little event for everyone which will run for the first few shows.

The event is to guess who I am. Yes this radio channel is new, so new that most of the listeners and the DJs don't even know each other. even they don't know me and I don't know them.

So to start getting to know one another, everyone will have to get busy by getting to know each other, so that you can find some clues to who I just may be.

Even those who will DJ on ASFR are welcome to take part since even they do not know who the Mystery DJ is.

There is one rule to guessing who I am, you will need to be precise and present to me why you believe I am who I am. Clues will be given but some clues will not be correct just to make it a bit challenging.

Will there be a reward for guessing who I am? You'll have to take part to unveil this mystery to find out...

Here are my first clues, they are not an easy but all three are true. Remember to keep an eye as some of the other DJs may give more hints and clues.

I was a DJ on another radio years ago, but I never did a Live Verbal show at that time.
I get angry when people make a very certain mistake about me.
I had a chance to become a fasion model but I turned it down.
